herd, (sorry, ghost of Woody Herman). I was the one who, one year
ago, said Micron would be running at a loss in the first calendar
quarter of 1997. So, I was late by at least 6 months. This slide has
even surprised me. I think that is because I have concentrated too
much on the supply glut and kind of ignored the fact that pcs are
