"rapidly headed to be a teenager again"

Total uncertainty about earnings, near term future, cooked books (again) and how the market will react. Safer to be out than trapped.
However, there is rarely a true surprise. The downward movement suggests the majority of players already (and probably accurately) anticipate less than desirable news at earnings announcement, otherwise, the price movement would be upward.

The IBM rumor should present an interesting twist. There was much speculation, including me, on the SUN board nearly a year ago about just such an alignment, to make money of course, but, also to kick MSFT's butt. Somebody needs to do it and the world needs it done.
