Mark: I don't think you're wrong considering the installed base of Zips compared to the installed base of PCs. Just looking at the US, Zip has a penetration of around 1-2%. But you can't dispute the ramp up of this technology. While removable storage has been around for close to 15 years, the applications for the technology are finally becoming mainstream -- similar to the internet, but obviously not on the same scale.

Plus, the chances that Zip has penetrated corporate America at this point is slim. To become a peripheral standard a product must first pays its dues in the farm system (to use your baseball analogy) and become an aftermarket standard. Zip has quickly risen through the minors and is now in Triple A. It has already been given some good looks in the show (major OEM contracts) and should get a permanent assignment by spring training (maybe XMAS). By this time next year, Zip will most likely be a superstar playing in the all-star game. Jaz could easily be the next Albert Belle -- big, strong superstar just coming into its own, but without the rough edges.

Also, Iomega is not limited to being an American Pastime. Ditto is the number one market share leader in Europe, and Zip is hitting for the cycle worldwide.

Go Reds, sorry my enthusiasm got me carried away
