Looks fairly extended on one hand. However, it was lagging in percentage gains from good ole silver and gold. Time frame of reference I am using is my purchase time of gold and platinum in autumn 2004.

Flashback to then:
Gold was 415
Platinum was 830

That chart does look like it requires some gravity.
