Chispa,

One of Tice's best articles. It has long been recognized that the abundance of stock options has skewed corporate expenses, and thus, their earnings.

And it is a pyramid scheme of sorts, in that when these insiders become "vested" and can excercise those options, it dilutes the outstanding shares.

But there is one other aspect. That is of corporations buying back their stock in order to neutralize the dilution created by the exercising of these options.
