if so dont kill the goose and just go for raising taxes. If you kill the goose, you cant do very much of anything. I note in some posts that some here think america should be punished for its mistakes. Its a common euro theme as well. As if housing mess is the average joes fault who took advantage of a creative mortgage. Or euro banks somehow had our paper forced on them. Lets bring back volker the hardliners say. A good recession will be cleansing and anyway the US started iraq and has guantanimo. Thats the last thing you want to do when a nation is in an eco crunch. You may have to take meds but you also need some TLC.
