And their opinions are wrong, and also have negative consequences.

And even if they where true wouldn't be very relevant. They would not be much of a response to "price controls and/or government enforced monopsony buying by the various countries who have lower priced on patent prescription drugs, are themselves a violation of free market principles", unless your asserting that free market principles are less important, but if you denigrate free market principles you denigrate your initial argument against legalizing re-importation based on the laws against it being a violation of free-market principles.
