Well since you guys were so great at helping remove Windows Messenger from my pc, I thought I'd try you again.

I bought another pc and have been transferring files across a home network from the old one to the new. I was having fantastic success until I tried to move email folders. I was dropping files into the shared folder between the pc's and simply installing them on the new box, including my address book.

I've now got two problems. 1). I can't transfer email files for some reason with the above method. The files when moved into MY Documents on the new box are just shortcuts that contain no files.

What's even more disturbing is that 2). now that I can't move them, I decided to just keep them on the old pc for reference If I need them so when I dragged them from the shared folder on the old pc back to OE in Windows Explorer, I see them there, but when I open OE, the files/folders are not there.

This leads to the question, if someone can figure out how to get the folders to open in OE on the old pc, how then can I transfer them to the same email account on the new pc short of forwarding them all one by one.

I know this is rather long-winded, but I've tried not to leave anything out.

Thanks again for any help from those of you that are better at this than I.

Jerry
