Hi Jim. All parties would (at least under normal industry standard agreements) have input with respect to new land to be purchased at the Apr 1/98 sale. And, remember it is not the company with the biggest purse that controls what is bid for a parcel. It is the party willing to spend the most that controls the bid. To assume this will be Esso\BKP may be faulty. I remind you that when BEA\STF assembled their current acreage position in this area they acquired lands in which Mobil did\could not participate in because of budget constraints or whatever. And, neither BEA nor STF were exactly flush with $$ then either.

With respect to the "leak" you desire I can't help you. However, maybe my observations from last night will temporarily ease your anxiety. A "large acid job" was completed on the well about 10:30 or so last night. During that job there were several brief "bursts of orange" (definitely not UFOs)!!!! I make no remarks as to the height of the flare as that could be quite misleading because I have no way of knowing whether any assistance (Eg. N2 or CO2 injection down the coiled tubing) was being provided and affecting the flare height. Also, the fact that the job was "large" should not be interpreted as implying that the zone is tight since ESSO spent about 4 days perforating this well!! That's a whole lot of interval to acidize!!!!

Since the long awaited flow test will be underway shortly (if it isn't already), I expect this thread to be "jumping" come Monday.
