Let's assume for the sake of discussion that hardliners come back into power and that the people are stupid enough to fall for their act despite being exposed to the truth since the Berlin Wall came tumbling down. Their economy is of little consequence to us. So if that is their wish, well that's too bad for them.

Our concern first and foremost under that scenario is military. But where on earth are the Russians going to get the money to finance another cold war? Sure they have nuclear weapons and that is a concern and that is our only concern. I wonder why we can't buy their nucelars. Our currency rules the world.

I don't think this is a Russian correction unless we have just discounted fully another cold war in the past two days.
