Doug -- I owned Amati Communications from the day it became public in Nov. 1995 to the day their buyout by TXN was completed. They held the ANSI and ETSI standard for DMT and now, of course, TI owns them. There are many price advantages for using ADSL over T1 connections but one of the biggest drawbacks is the fact telcos could get so much more revenue from T1s they hated to cannibalize their own business. The pressure is getting more intense and you'll be hearing about more deployments as the year progresses. The next big one may be GTE. Later --- Pat
