As for evolution, atheists and Christians talk past one another. Most Christians who say they believe in it, consider it divinely driven or part of the divine plan.

A divine plan would certainly make evolution a reasonable acceptable theory which is why most reasonable Christians have so little problem with the theory, what's your problem again? Oh, we have to make mandatory evolution must be associated with scientific materialism, which so far has never failed once in explaining anything it has chose to observe over time so far.

The big bang is a major problem for atheists. It shows Genesis was right about the universe having a beginning or a genesis.

Quite the contrary is true, the big bang was & is a major problem for fundamentalists everywhere as it dates the universe back over 15bil years and more, that was a major blow for you/them. It would seem far better to have a universe that was cyclical & eternal as a proof of God but that's just my personal assessment & intuition.

( The allegory of genesis can be appreciated by both atheist & believer alike, so its left to the imagination & poetry which language fairly well captures the spirit of what most all can appreciate naturally. This is because it is natural outcome of an inquisitive sentient being to wonder at the origins of everything & reason that for every action there is a reaction )
