Peak oil has only become a reality in the last 8 years... before that it was theroy vehemently denied by the Republicans (and still some are in denial). "Peak oil" has not a damned thing to do with the fact that we are importing all this oil. And it has not one thing to do with our need to drill for our own. "Dramatically"? LOL. More BS from DR. There is no disagreement amongst informed individuals about this. Had we been drilling in ANWR and the OCS in 1999 we would not be facing this oil crisis today. This is inarguable.
