Thank you for your reply, it was thoughtful of you to answer. You have put faith into a nice little package and "wrapped" it up with a bow.
Insecure? I guess you will have to ask others who have faith why they have it, I wouldn't even attempt to peer into another's soul and decide what's inside. However I can only speak for myself when I say that my
faith was not born from insecurity. But that is your opinion and you are entitled to have whatever opinion you wish.
You speak of the fear of death; "but I'm not one of them". I don't buy that from you BLT. Your many words clearly testify to your fear. Clearly you associate fear with being "wrapped up". A cocoon of words and words to shield you from peeking through to the outside. BLT, I am not being "ugly", I see a pattern in your words and words.
"I am content to leave unanswered questions unanswered.", don't think so BLT. You even attest to that ,"I would like to solve some of them." Theories are unproven facts, open the cocoon and do some research. There are many proven facts concerning The Word of God. Take for example "the jew". The scriptures prove to have come true, even now, I read that what was predicted in Ez. 47, is happening in Israel. This info comes directly from Israel. Oh there goes that cocoon.
I really mean no disrespect BLT, I respect you as a human being.
You say "there is no evidence to support any conclusions, so I don't
claim any." Really BLT if you were alive long ago you would have stated
that the earth was flat because there was no evidence. Your words hide you. Do you think evidence will fly through your door, pause, make a mad dash towards your hidden face and blink on and off until you peek out and say "what or who are you?"? "No basis in any sort of reality", how do you of many words come to that conclusion without research (re----search)? The big two words "wrapped up", in the guise of religion,
many confusing words are a wrapping also BLT. By the way religion will kill a dead man at midnight in a graveyard! I don't speak of religion. Religion is an organization, not interested, the Body of Christ is an organism, alive and well. And all my time is well spent, I have learned that lesson along the way. You personally don't find it important. I have my decisions, you have your decisions.
