Very interesting. CTA’s are the shortest they’ve been since 2015. The correction of these last couple of months played a big trick on their trading systems.

I’m a trend follower myself, so I understand their predicament. I find it’s best to use a very slow system for a core part of your investable funds - for example, a 12 month ma, or even a slower one, like crossovers of a 6 and 18 month ma. The last one will ignore most squiggles. The balance of the capital it’s better to trade more actively.
