Here is an independent benchmark report on C6 from C't in Germany:
heise.de

My opinion is that IDT will be able to sell every piece of C6 they could make for the upgrade market in the next 18 months since C6 has MMX and runs @3.3V perfectly suite dozen million old 586 motherboards currently in service.

Intel, AMD and Cyrix have stopped the production on their 3.3V version. Thus, C6 would be their only choice if these owners want a cheap upgrade to MMX processors. All the early information has shown that C6 is a "weak" processor. In another word, it could mean that it might give these CPU upgrader less troubles comparing to Cyrix 6x86.

I strongly suggest Mational Semi considering to carry 3.3V MX for the upgrade market as it could be more profitable than 2.9V MX.

Fuchi ... who loves Cyrix's innovations
