OnLine Power Supply Completes Safety and Reliability Testing for PFC Module

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Mar 27, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- OnLine Power Supply,
Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: OPWR) today announced it has completed safety and
reliability testing for its OPS-500-385 PFC Module, clearing the way to
commencing commercialization of its new product.

Kris Budinger, CEO of OnLine Power, said the Company successfully completed its
HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) ruggedization testing, which is a
state-of-the-art testing process used to uncover design and production process
flaws. The HALT testing, performed by QualMark Corporation, allows manufacturers
to identify and correct potential quality issues early in the design and
production cycle in order to avoid costly recalls and redesigns after the
product has been deployed in the field.

Budinger said management was pleased with the product's HALT results. "Our PFC
Module was still operational at -90 Degrees C and +130 Degrees C," said
Budinger. "The unit maintained its operating conditions under 30G's of vibration
across three axes. These are not normal operating conditions since the units are
safeguarded to more conservative operating conditions." Budinger added that
operating specifications and the HALT report are available to customer level
engineers.

The Company's unique, patent-pending PFC Module converts AC power to DC power
suitable for use in sensitive electronics applications. The Company believes the
product is the smallest, lightest, most efficient power supply in its industry
representing the first appreciable technological advancement in the last 20
years.

"HALT testing is designed to stress electronic products to extreme outside
specified operating ranges until it reaches the point of failure to determine
their absolute operating and destruct limits," said Budinger. "Our HALT testing
results support our own data which shows the PFC Module is capable of operating
extremely efficiently in harsh environments common to the wireless industry as
well as other markets we are targeting."

Budinger also reported the Company has received a Notice of Authorization to
apply the UL and C-UL recognition marks to its OPS-500-385 PFC Module in the
U.S. and Canada. The UL mark on a product means that UL has tested and evaluated
representative samples of that product and determined that they meet UL's
requirements for use in the United States. The C-UL mark is applied to products
for the Canadian market. The products with the C-UL mark have been evaluated to
Canadian safety requirements, which may be somewhat different from U.S. safety
requirements.

"Completion of the safety and reliability tests was the final hurdle for OnLine
Power in its transition from research and development phase to commercial
production mode," Budinger said. He noted that OnLine Power has shipped units to
customers and potential customers for use in testing and that feedback on the
product's performance has been excellent.

OnLine Power Supply, headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, develops,
