Cadaver:

Sorry I did not read your message before I left today. I met with Dick Taylor for about an hour. He was very helpful in some regards and vague in others. He said that the moment SafetyLock is being produced by hand at a rate of 300 per day, but the process will be automated by next year. They will then be able to produce " more than they can sell." They are now talking to Colt, SigSaur, Smith and Wesson, Baretta and from what I could gather, anyone who would listen.

He said right now the SafetyLock cannot be used on a Glock without drilling a whole through the grip. Some models of Smith an Wesson provided problems because the way the bullets are stacked, it would make the grip to wide. He indicated that they would work past these problems in the future. Mr. Taylor said that the SafetyLock will work on approximately 85% of the handguns available today.

Other than finding a manufacturer to install the SafetyLock in new weapons as an option, they are making display kits to be setup in local gun shops. The SafetyLock retails for about $130 to $150. He would not tell me what their profit margin is. But if you figure they wholesale for about $89 they must be making (low est.) around $30 to $40 apiece, without automation. With 5.5 million shares outstanding / $30 = 183,333 units = $1.00 per share

Considering their are 65-70 million handguns in the United States and approximately 200,000 + new sold each year you can see the 183,333 number should not be to out of reach. Also consider international sales. Mr. Taylor said they are working with Australian and European
distributors also. He expects to earn a profit by the last quarter of 1996 or the beginning of 1997. Would not say how much.

You must buy the Saf T Lock + New modified Grip. Here is a breakdown taken from their order sheet. It gives you an idea of what is available today.
