GS has been very supportive of this MLP in particular and the group in general. It downgraded KMP on Friday (hence the retrenchment on a valuation basis alone, noting what you did in your post.

I think KMP units have done well for two reasons: last year and in the first half of this year, it was pretty much a purely defensive play. However, with the economy improving and with the recent acquisition (Yeats field should add CO2 revenues), its fundamentals look strong.
