GEOCHEMICAL SAMPLING
A total of 20 rock (alluvial float) samples, 11 stream samples & 80 soil samples COLLECTED for analysis by Acme Analytical Labs of Vancouver, B.C.
Rock samples consisted of VEIN derived...(from sic) throughout the tailings. In add...altered grantic rocks were sampled to detect the presence of gold in hydrothermally altered bedrock.
Soil samples were collected from maily two meter depths in rusty weathered, orange ferruginous latosols peroximal to Garimpeiro workings.
Stream silt samples comprised tailings samples from active and abondoned workings.
The highest gold values documented were 0.59 to 1.31 OZ/TON in quartz -tourmaline "vein material" from the Curiman workings . The highest gold value in recorded in stream silt was 0.466 OZ/TON iailings from the active Cahalito workings located immediatly east of the airstrip. The highest gold-in-soil values were recorded from soil lines near the Barata North ( 1,630 PPB-AU)(sic- that is that 0ne- Sixth Ounce Per Ton I was talking about, Richie ), Barata ( 424 PPB AU) and Donyeux( 860 PPB AU pits.
