Yes Cush, the only t..s I touched until my teen age years produced milk.. cows milk..

We always had a few milk cows 4 or 5.. for ourselves, some young
calves and sometimes hogs..

Anyway my Dad had a ethical and kind way to break cows to milk..
"A Cow Whisperer" way if you like.. Instead of putting hobbles or
a rope around the cow's hind legs and letting her struggle when you
first tried to touch her teats.. You would let her get used to the
stall and stanchion for awhile.. then one of us would just pet her and move in and rub her hind quarters, while another would take her
tail and if the the cow would would start to kick when first milked
the person with the tail would gently pull her off balance.. It
didn't take long..

Is this ethics?? maybe it is.. there is always a kinder and
gentler way to do things..
