Peter Johnson announced at November's annual meeting that Viracept was being taken by 35,000 people as of June 30, 1997, and that it was growing by 2,000-3,000 new patients weekly. When Peter announced that there were 85,000 on Viracept, do we know as of what date? Did the growth rate drop off, and as of what date? If it grew steadily from June through December at 2,000 per week, it would have hit the 85,000 by year end. Did he specify as of when they hit 85,000 and if it was still growing?
