Cons Magna's SkinnyScript helps Airlines go to press

Thu 4 Oct 2001

News Release

Mr. Robert Archer reports

Another publication has successfully gone to press with SkinnyScript
technology. Airline, the official inflight magazine for WestJet Airlines
Ltd., is published by Zulu Publications Inc., a new client which eagerly
adopted the technology and workflow for its first publication with Copydot
Prepress. The printers for this issue are Print Crafters for the cover, and
Quebecor World -- Edmonton for the inside pages.
Rick Gagner, president of Copydot, stated: "This is further support for the
technology and workflow, and indicates that publishers can rely on this
workflow to improve their productivity and costs. As a first time client,
Zulu was quick to understand the importance of this process and is reaping
the rewards immediately."
Following so closely behind the production of the October issue of San Jose
Magazine, the first commercial test of SkinnyScript, the printing of
Airlines is evidence that SkinnyScript is ready for full implementation in
the commercial prepress market. The companies are already working on the
next issue of San Jose Magazine and contracts are being pursued with other
publishers.
