From the March 18 edition of the Pinedale Roundup:

<<Prill Mecham of the Pinedale Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management confirmed that the environmental impact statement for oil and gas development along the Pinedale Anticline is scheduled to be released for public review no later than May l5. A draft of the EIS has been undergoing internal review with the agency for the past several weeks, but one hold-up is that the air quality model has not yet been completed yet. Once the model has been run and agency comments incorporated into the document, it can be printed and released, to be followed by a 60-day public comment period, Mecham said.>>

So perhaps by July 15, the EIS might be ready for BLM approval, and then, with Mr. Watford having lined by the necessary money, drilling can proceed apace! Assuming EIS approval and drilling financing in place, I wonder how many rigs would be available. Would be very nice to see four or five rigs drilling simultaniously in the Mesa area, all financed by UP, and thus no one/two year period of payout to other companies! Am I dreaming . . . !

If you dream, dream BIG, say I ! ! !
