Of course they were. We discussed the issue extensively. The
information presented in ad, and by me in previous posts, is
public data and accurately represents responses to a survey
conducted by Embedded Systems Programming magazine this year.

I understand your assertions that "the financials don't lie."
But at the same time, I must say that everyone needs to understand
that advertising is a domain all its own. I guess I don't see
it as "wrong" to present the greater engineering community with
the results of the survey. I assume the ad will generate more
sales situations where INTS and WIND sales reps can give their
best shot at selling their respective products. All an ad can
do is create image and generate leads - then it's up to the strength of the products/company to close the design wins.

Our job, and the job of any marketing agency, is to help clients (INTS in this case) communicate to its target audiences
in ways that increase awareness. There are a million and one
different tactical/creative methods for doing that, and this
ad represents one of those methods.

WIND had great financials and are to be respected and congratulated
for that. Nevertheless, I don't think anyone would say that
pSOS is no longer a major force in the marketplace.

I'm anxious to hear more on this, especially from anyone working
in the embedded market.
