Unless Bush can turn his approval numbers around or Obama does something transcendentally stupid, the undecideds will likely trend towards Obama and not McCain.

I've seen nothing that would support this claim. Undecideds are undecided -- the reasons for their indecision haven't been given by any poll I've seen.

I do know that in Rasumussen's daily tracking poll, the "with leaners" figure is always more in McCain's favor than the "without leaners". Not sure that says anything about undecideds in general.

As to your remarks on the Electoral College, it is important to remember that the design is such that a small win may not look that much different from a landslide. The last couple of elections have not been typical.

Obama's lead is well within the margin of error for most credible polls, and this kind of thing can change overnight or in the last week or two of an election with ease.

Make no mistake -- I'm concerned we could end up with an extremist liberal who has no experience or accomplishment to his credit as president. But the race isn't over just yet.
