John, You said it all when you stated one of your family members has to work 76 hours per week to make good money. Sure, good money, but he or she is just slaving their life away -- for the green! I did something similar once myself, and guess what, I can never get those hours back that would have been spent in happier times! If they are working that many hours per week, sacrificing a normal life, they deserve the big bucks. But the problem in this nation of ours and around the world for that matter, is that many do work 60, 70 even 80 hours per week, but still make slave wages. We really have not progressed as far as we think from the old slavery days. It just comes in different forms these days, or as George Bush would say, "kinder and gentler", but we still have a LONG ways to go before we are treating everyone as they should be. Yogi |
