Liar. No one was friendly to Saddam Hussein except fellow rightwing dictator types or the Tikrit Mafia. He even killed his own family members.

In fact, I was for finishing Saddam off in 1991 with extreme prejudice, which Bush's father failed to do, thereby leaving Clinton with a major headache. But Bush Sr. may have been smart, for now if Iraq elects an islamic fundamentalist we'll be worse off than before. Very risky gambit in Iraq and no sign yet how it will turn out.
