fwiw,

i just finished checking the "default" list of files to scan on my norton systemworks version 2.0 that i recently installed. i compared the defaults to the previous list of recommended file extensions (for scanning) and to my surprise, i need to add about 14 of them... not just the RTF extension.

also, someone on another thread today noted that for some reason, the known viruses list has recently doubled. i checked norton tonight and they have 41,912 displayed. i've read that the antivirus researchers are uncovering approximately 15-20 new ones per day.

i don't mean this to sound like panic, or to freak anyone out. as stated at the top of my post...

fwiw.

:)
