The original thread was about how McCain tried to spin that al Maliki's plan and Obama's plan are totally different.

Actually, the only reason there is a "Maliki" plan is that McCain's surge, which Obama opposed, worked.

However, Maliki has clearly stated the time for withdrawal must be conditions based, and today, Obama has moved toward that position.

The consensus, other than amongst the Hard Left, is apparently that the withdrawal should be based on conditions, not an arbitrary time line. Maliki has said it, McCain has said it, Petraeus has said it time and again, Bush has said it, and today, Obama said it.

So, yes, Obama now agrees with McCain on the issue. Except he wants it conditions based but not longer than 16 months I guess. I honestly can't figure out where Obama is from one day to the next. The guy doesn't seem to have any sensible game plan for Iraq.
