They are twins. Perhaps they will help each other through the learning curve. They are really close, the worst punishment is to separate them.

Your advice sounds right on. My wife will have more problems letting them make mistakes than I will. It sounds like you probably concentrate on helping them avoid the mistakes that have the greatest potential to cause them great trouble.

My father used to tell me that he respected people who learned from their own mistakes. He admired people that learned from others' mistakes.
