Dave Matthews is just a leftie. His music is not offensive, and I enjoy it. When he made his politics an issue, his music lost some of its luster. Our college football games used to play "start me up" for some kickoffs. Mick used politics to get that changed. It is great that you take the time to go to a concert with your kids. They are lucky to have you, and you are lucky they will allow you with them.
