I will go one better. If you as an investor come across results presented as "gold equivalent" take your money elsewhere. NO LEGITIMATE ORGANIZATION WOULD PRESENT DATA THIS WAY. PERIOD. They are working creative numbers or they are ignorant of the facts (see Walt's post) both will cost you your hard earned money.

To this end the PDA polled its membership and created a draft response to the Bre-X and other brokered scandals. One of the points is to outlaw "gold equivalent" it has long been recognized as bullshit and manipulative while possessing NO information value. These points have been submitted to the various securities organizations. We can only assume the implementation is pending.

Although, I don't know if they possess the "consultants" to help them out.
