Iomega Corp., Jaz Drive -2-: Cuts 1-Gigabyte Drive

ROY, Utah (Dow Jones)--Iomega Corp. (IOMG) cut by $100 the price
of its one-gigabyte Jaz drive, effective immediately.

In a press release, Iomega said its expects the estimated U.S. street
price of the external Jaz drive to drop to $499 from $599 and the
internal Jaz drive to drop to $399 from $499.

The company also said it has started shipping Jaz drive products to
computer retail outlets with plans to expand retail distribution
throughout the year.

The company also introduced the Jaz Jet, the first cross-platform
internal PCI card that boosts the speed and performance of the Jaz
drive in both the PC and Macintosh platforms, available immediately
at an estimated street price of $99.

An ISA Jaz Jet is available for users of 486 and 386 PC-based systems.
