I just came back from L.A., there are too many messages to catch on CYMI forum. I have a long position on CYMI at 32. It's painful to
see this article on Barron's. I am a long term investor and won't worry about the short term fluctuation.

My brother just came from Taiwan to San Diego for a conference. He got his Ph.D. from UT Austin and he is major in semiconductor material. I talked to him briefly about Cymer laser. His view is strictly from technical point of view. He did not understand any of the stock trading/investment at all. He said Cymer has very good business view to bring DUV on market. In his view, DUV should be able to use in 0.18 and 0.15. He also said EUV won't be materialized at least until 2003 because of the technical complexity. He has couple of friends who use Kamatsu's (spelling ?) product and said they are not reliable and can not be compared with Cymer's. He also said if Cymer had any competitor, it would be from Germany. By the way, he is not aware of the quartz shortage.
