At least he could come and apologize for the very crude language, apologize for being wrong would be to ask too much (g). I hope not too many listened to his ravings. The least he should have done, was to let us know he covered his shorts, which hopefully he did.

It is asking a lot to expect someone who showed no class while he was riding high to suddenly develop some when things go awry. However, out of humility human beings are born, so hope does spring eternal.

I understand your vexation at his smugness, but being the class guy that you are, you need to let it go. There are too many smart-alecs in the world for us to waste time harboring any ill will....
