I don't really care what happened in 1972. I care about increasing supply today and developing alternatives for tomorrow.

I would say its nearly impossible to increase supply. Old wells are dying out so fast that we are simply playing a game of trying to stay in place and failing miserably at it.

That is why I would prefer that most of our resources were directed at developing altern. energy sources.
