We all object to that. There are penalties for murder.

LOL! The Chicken Guarding Fox returns. If every body objected to it then no one would be getting murdered now in the Netherlands, would they?

If you simply make murder legal then there are no "penalties" are there? That's what the discussion was about; The intentional killing of innocent children who have Downs Syndrome and Spina Bifida for the sake of convenience. My wife and I just ran into a kid she worked with as a youngster who has Spina Bifida. He graduated high school this year and wants to go on to university. His Mother has devoted her life to caring for him when it would have been easier to just kill him, but civilized people do not even consider that an option.

"For brain dead patients there is already a world wide consensus. Without consciousness there is no value."

It is not (yet) legal to actively kill even brain dead people in Canada and the US, so you are as usual, wrong to assert there is universal agreement on that issue. That's why Terri was starved to death instead of being hanged which would have been more humane. It's not surprising that the disabled community can see the writing on the wall; from people like you, who have already decided they have "no value" so killing them would not really be "murder". In fact, it's the Chicken Guarding thing to do.
