Life is almost normal for the city folks, fire is all over the rural areas to the north and east. Closer to the water, we have the marine layer and the on shore breeze. I now can't even see smoke from the same fires that were darkening the skies and dumping ash all over us just a few days ago.

My favorite hiking trails are going to be very interesting this spring. It could be hell of a field of wild flowers and nothing else. We are a desert here in Southern California. I have been out in the fire areas many times during Santa Ana wind conditions that I am surprised we do not have more fires every year.

Needless to say, when the fire burns itself out, it is going to be a very good economic boost to California's construction industry.
