Hi

I am running windows XP on two computers. On one of them, every time I load a web page in Internet Explorer(6.02), it results in some sort of interplay between Internet Explorer and the system explorer which results in 100% cpu utilization for quite a few seconds (you can see on the task manager that IE and explorer are using the entire cpu between them). naturally using 100% of he cpu prevents much else from being done until it has finished. it is a major annoyance

this does not happen on my second cpu. I have checked all IE settings between the two systems, and they are the same, so I have no idea where to go with this problem.

according to my wife this just started a few weeks ago --
it may have happened about the time that I got on her machine and loaded a bunch of updates from microsoft, but I can't be sure.

any help would be appreciated!

Bob
