With the life cycle of tech companies (CAP) shortening due to the rapid acceleration of technological innovation, then tech investing is becoming increasingly more difficult and risky all the time.

Especially true for investing in taxable accounts. The shortening CAP will compel investors to sell their securities sooner, creating a tax consequence that will lower after-tax returns compared to achieving the same pre-tax returns over longer holding periods.
