I am sick of the sexually-charged, animalistic, wild image of the she-beast being tossed around

You've got it right! It is amazing how religion and sex relate so often!

Chris is a sensitive fellow. He was very unhappy as a teenager, and as a way out of his misery, he joined the military. While there he was brutalized by his peers and he developed a severe drinking problem. He came to the point where he was almost ready to give it all up. There was nothing but waking, drinking and sleeping. But he survived.

For quite some time now he has been raging around in a dry drunk. He stopped going to A.A. because he was developing a sexual relationship with himself which was buried beneath his awareness. He loved his father , but he hated him. If he says differently, he is a liar. I would not have brought this up except that he ignored every urging to stop this crap. He evaded every opportunity to keep to the thread topic and to leave his sexual stuff out of it.

He might as well go back to drinking. He is terribly unhappy, and he is on this thread because he needs stimulation. All his stimulation must come from his psychological rebelion against his father. I believe his father was also in the military, but I am not absolutely certain.

What is certain is this: He has a need to be led and controlled. He is terrified to take his own steps. He needs to be controlled and dominated. God fulfills this need for him. I think he is a strong enough person to recognize the truth of this. Time will tell...
