I just ran Ad-aware and it can up with over 300 identified items. Most of which was BargainBuddy, Ezula, NCase etc.
Quarantined and deleted. Upon rebooting a ton of repeating
with the moving flashlight, "Windows is searching for the shortcut......" and "problem with shortcut" It seems they are all deleted spyware/adware.exe programs which were deleted by Ad-aware. About 265 of them and when I click to cancel the search for each shortcut the next of the 265 comes up for the next 5-8 minutes before allowing me to access my desktop or toolbar. How do I disable these constant "Windows searching for missing shortcut" windows?
I also ran MSCONFIG for the startup items and checked off
over 150 .exe programs form Ezula as well.
P.S. running W98SE TIA, Cruz
