You realize that most of the books and TV shows are not concerned with the nature of God- they merely repeat over and over again the same things by wrote that others have said. HUGE difference between a simple mass of communications mentioning the word GOD and actual discussions about God. That is like comparing Jerry Springer with The News Hour- and saying that they are the same since they both deal with current events. You are comparing apples and oranges- you are mixing all sorts of things up to suit your argument. That may be enjoyable for you, but it is a waste of time for me to discuss this with you as you are too illogical and I have other things to do today.

I will stand by my assertion that few people examine their own beliefs- they have no idea why they believe what they do, and they have never examined their faith or any of their other ideas. In fact some philosophers have said it cannot be otherwise- at least where God is concerned- at least insofar as man can justify his faith by logic. That God is inherently irrational, that a leap of faith must be made. I think this is the most rational way of looking at the matter- although I still do not understand why one needs to take a leap of faith, but that's me. When I get to the edge of a cliff, and I see with my own eyes that what appears to be solid ground ends, I don't feel any need to leap off that either.
