Just some thoughts on the California energy crises...other than the rolling blackout in SUNWland.

It occurs to me that this crises, in economic terms, is pretty minor. People aren't dying, buildings aren't being destroyed, just a hiccup in production. We should feel sorry for all of the people who are stuck in the northeast in the middle of ice storms or people alont the Gulf and Atlantic seaboards when the hurricanes come. Fires and earthquakes are far more damaging than this situation. The only real problem I see is that this is a crises of our own making.

I hear that a bunch of companies want to move out of the state on the grounds that they need reliable power. Their loss, California will come out of this crises stronger. And I agree with others on this thread that SUNW will be making the tools of the future that will help prevent these types of situations from occurring again.

The computer is the net...even if the market manipulators can't fathom the concept.
