…even with rampant wage inflation happening recently in China, it will be decades before wage parity is reached with the US. Don't know if you've traveled to China, but I wholly agree with you! We did, and even with the spoon fed itinerary, tour groups go through, you're sometimes exposed to the ugly underside of the rural regions. Combine that with my experience of thirteen months living in Korea (and yes I know that was in the dark ages), you come to the realization that reaching economic parity with the U.S. will NOT happen in our (or our children's) lifetimes. Maybe in Korea, but certainly not in China. There's a lot of poverty behind those glossy televised images of modern China.
