I used to be a trader and have forgotten more than you know. I repeat:

First, "by you" doesn't apply since I've never posted on the subject.

Second, if you don't think a hedge is a speculation then you might start with some basic education.

Third, there was a LOT of speculation in the oil markets, every reputable business paper has reported on the money going into commodities.

Finally, if the market wasn't influenced by speculation, then it couldn't have come down on the Bush change as you claim, because that didn't influence todays supply/demand by one drop.

So you're wrong in like three different ways... you are tripping all over yourself trying to create a case where no case exists, and getting caught in lies.
