Maybe this whole episode will moderate putin and get him to look toward global intersts rather than parochial. Could there be a split between putin and medvidid or is that just good cop/bad cop shit? Its just good cop/bad cop. After doing some serious weightlifting, Putin is flexing Russia's newly formed muscles. Not only is he getting Georgia to knuckle under.......you must admit he picked his weakest prey to attack......but he's giving fair warning to the Ukraine, Poland and the Czech Republic to not get too cozy with the West. Unfortunately, thanks to Bush, Putin is holding most of the trump cards. There is a new world order. We'll have to learn to live with it.
