re:I actually referred to a FACT: both, INTC & AMD don't have experience in the high-end server RISC-CPU segment - simply because it's not their home turf. So this means INTC has no special "advantage" here. It's a level playing field. With CPQ on its side and by SHARING (not "copying" as You imply) their bus design, AMD might have a tactical edge. That's my feeling. Not more, not less.

I would hardly equate Intel's server experience with PPRO and now XEON with AMD's lack of ANY server experience and say it's a level playing field. Here is another example of Intel platforms slowly, but surely, eating its way into enterprise computing:
