Haven't followed Donlin in quite a while. At this point I don't know if comparables are all that important. The project is just too big to get done in this environment. Sure CKG is around 400 mil, but you have too add initial costs. So min of $5 bil and you don't get your money back for 4-5 years (once in production). Shareholders wouldn't take 400 mil so probably looking more like a min of $5.5 bil. When was the last time a project of this size was accomplished within it's initial budget? If you have lots of patience though seems like it will get developed at some pt, but I would think majors have learned a lesson and will go for low cap ex/high IRR projects first.
